Introduction
As usual there will be continuous ENTERTAINMENT onstage all afternoon, from our faithful Mr. John and Dr Rob taking us through 'Potverdekke it's great to be a Belgian' and other catchy numbers, dancers (some very small) from the BSB and from Jeannette Marino's school, a new Spanish trio, and several other groups: and one Mystery Singer (stay around, you may be surprised!). We are always looking for new performers, so next year if you or your children can sing or dance or play, contact us.

Mr. John and
Dr. Rob
Mister John shot to fame if not fortune in the summer of 1998 with his one and only hit single "Potverdekke! It's Great to be a Belgian" - an affectionately ironic tribute to Belgium and the Belgians. The Belgian Press,TV and Radio,in characteristic amazement that
anybody, especially an obscure Liverpool-born song-writer, could be saying positive things about their much-maligned
country, gave the song all the encouragement it deserved to help it to Number 6 in the National Hit Parade.
Playing regular gigs with partner Doctor Rob at parties, weddings and in old folks
homes, he remains stoically optimistic: "I never wanted fame and money...and now my wish has been granted."
At 53 Mister John is still playing music and is extremely happy living in Brussels..

St. Anthony's
folk group
The
folk group at the Sunday noon Mass is the longest-established music
group at St. Anthony’s. We welcome
anyone who can play an instrument or sing to lead the music at any of
the Masses. We cannot always be there every week, so even if there is
music regularly, you could volunteer to fill in for occasional absences.
We also need extra help at Christmas and Easter when many people are
away

Trío "Los
Eternos"
Eugenio
Valcárcel, Javier Lacunza and Ferran Tarradellas are known to be
probably the best trio of Spanish music in the Belgian scene. Although
specialised in Spanish tunes, Mr. Lacunza has also played Portuguese
music in some of the most reputed theatres of Brussels such as Flagey
cultural Center and Space Sengor, often with Eugenio Valcárcel, one of
the leading flamenco guitars in Belgium. Mr. Valcárcel and Mr. Lacunza,
who are currently recording its first CD, started their musical carear
with Mr. Tarradellas in the Tuna band of Brussels.
