There were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to anyone as he had need. (Acts. 4:34)

Finance Council

Introduction

The responsibility of the Finance Council is to advise the Pastor regarding St. Anthony's temporal goods. This includes the timely preparation of the annual accounts and budgets, provision of periodic reporting to the Parish, assisting fund-raising events, authorising bank transactions, compliance with legal and regulatory matters, and advising on maintenance and infrastructure projects, amongst others. The initiative to restart this group was driven by the needs and growth in our Parish, and the continuing development of property and infrastructure projects. It is also a requirement of Canon Law to have a properly functioning finance council in each church.

The Finance Council meets monthly from September to July

Who to contact?

Individuals interested in working on the Finance Council should contact Fr. Pat, Fr. Vincent or Liam Breslin. We particularly need volunteers with an interest and competence in facilities design and planning, maintenance contacts, project managers, and individuals with relevant tax experience.
