Helping Hands- No longer exists.

Introduction

Helping Hands was formed in 1993 and was a very successful Parish Community Service for those in need. At that time, we had a tremendous response and all areas were covered. At the last Parish Council Meeting, it was agreed that we should re-establish this very important service within our Parish community over the next few months. There are a number of parishioners who would greatly benefit from HELPING HANDS, but it can only function successfully if we have enough volunteers who would be willing to give some of their time on a rota basis.

Volunteers

If you want to live Christian charity and give a hand to those in need according to your own spirit or time availability there is a wide choice of possibilities:

  • Drivers

  • House works and bricolage

  • Listeners

  • People who can do the shopping

  • Health care

To become a volunteer please contact Suzanne Christmas who is co-ordinating the requests of help and organizing the job among volunteers. Thanks a lot to all that are doing such a great job!
