Domus Dei Tombola
Kraineem (06 November 2001)
St.
Anthony's Parish will participate again this year in the Diocesan DomusDei
Tombola draw. Last Year we sold over 400 tickets and there we had 30 prize
winners at St. Anthony's. Although neither Fr. Jake nor anyone else in our
Parish won the VW Lupo, our prizes consisted of bottles of Bordeaux wine,
sets of towels and bed linen, Walkman radios, classical music CD's, perfume,
pen and pencil sets, calculators, stereo head phones and an electric razor.
Domus Dei is important for our Parish. It is because of this fund from the
Diocese that we were able to build and expand our church. Last year was the
first time St. Anthony's participated in Domus Dei in the 36 years of its
existence. We help ourselves doubly by supporting this tombola - firstly we
raise money so all churches can then borrow from the Diocese, and secondly
we also raise money directly for ourselves.
We
have yet to receive the information for the 2002 Domus Dei Tombola, so watch
for information in "Words" announcing the dates of Tombola Ticket sales. |
