Parish Finance Council – The “Nuns Land”

The
Parish Finance Council (PFC) had a busy summer culminating with the August
2002 execution of the Notarial Deed for the final purchase of the 'Nuns
Land', (approximately 22 ares of undeveloped land immediately adjacent to
our existing property between the church and the Kraainem Sport Hall and
parking lot). This purchase, approved last year by the Parish Council and a
parish-wide referendum, will ensure the privacy and sanctity of our church
and parish grounds, and in future, allow us to continue to develop and
expand as necessary, as desired by the parish at large. This transaction was
underwritten by a loan from Domus Dei, our diocesan contact point for
financing and investment matters.
The PFC is comprised of volunteer parishioners, and are appointed by the
Pastor. Present members are Father Vincent, John Fermoile, Nicole Smith,
Clementine George (Parish Treasurer), Liam Breslin, Marc Quaghebeur, Loius
Brenninkmeijer, and George Holmer. Lindy Marty serves as the liaison between
the PFC and the Parish Council.
