Youth Group – Off to a Great Start
By Dorothy Boyer
Kraainem (04
December 2005).-
The youth group kicked off this fall with a great event on October 2nd with 45 teens attending. Since then we have had several meetings on Sunday afternoons. The typical format for the Youth Group is to allow the teens to socialize and eat first, play some games, and then learn more about their faith. Faith building activities consists of discussions around real life teen issues such as making friends, overcoming obstacles, dealing with peer pressure, and trying to reach out to others in a compassionate way as Christ would.
The youth group is also about having fun and making friends. We had our first social activity in October and we went go karting. Our next activity is to go bowling together. We also have plans in December for a retreat and a Christmas party.
