Report from the Parish Finance Council
By Liam Breslin, Chairman of the Parish Finance Council
Kraainem
(11 December 2006).- Recently we reported to you at all masses on the Financial situation in the Parish. As you know— we have a Parish Finance Council which -each month- monitors the Parish’s Financial situation & examines major cost projects before we embark on them.
Our financial situation is in quite good shape , we have an accountant who checks our books & produces annual accounts for the parish , we have a financial controller- Yvonne Nielsen- who keeps a careful track of income//expenditure.
Our income for the parish comes from a number of sources— weekly basket collections, fundraising events-egg the Fayre; donations from individual parishioners & finally standing orders.
We are very grateful to all our parishioners for their support through whatever method you use.
During the past year— we have seen some major improvements to the parish facilities e.g.-expanded & improved car parking , tree removal ; improved computer system in the parish office, improved class rooms— all of these help & we hope you find they improve the facilities which you all use.
In order to cover the costs of such improvements— which are substantial— we are asking parishioners to consider using a standing order from your bank— to give a monthly amount to the parish— of whatever you could afford.
This would be of great help to the Parish— as it is a constant amount & allows us to plan better.
At present - about one third of parishioners support in this way— our aim is to increase this to about half the parishioners! So-if you are looking for a good New Year resolution—why not consider this?. You can find a form for a standing order at

In the meantime— we would like to wish you & your families a very happy Christmas & to thank you for all your support to our Parish aver the past year.
