Folk Group CD - Airs and Graces

Brussels (30th March 2008).- The Folk Group will launch their long awaited CD on Sunday, April 20 following the 11.30 Mass with a wine & cheese reception in the Parish Hall.

Although the idea to produce a CD has been brewing for several years it has only recently come to fruition. Just before Christmas, in an already hectic schedule of rehearsals for the Christmas Carol concert, the group took time out to record, live, in the Church, a selection of songs/airs appropriately titled 'Airs & Graces'. The selection of seventeen numbers includes the very first hymn sung by the group way back in 1986 'Blest be the Lord'. It also includes the beautiful Irish air 'Inisfree' sung by Fr. John and also a particular favourite with several of our parishioners 'You are my all in all'. The CD would not be complete without a rendition of 'Great Day in Bethlehem' which has become St. Anthony's Christmas Anthem.

The Folk Group wish to acknowledge the assistance of Edgar/Philipe from Wolec Electronics who produced the CD.

Proceeds from the sale of the CD will go to charity.

The Group would love to see you all at the launch on Sunday April 20 and hope that you will enjoy listening to 'Airs & Graces'.
