A general discussion took place on the future development of the site and
Council members were invited to view the existing website and contact Ferran
with comments/suggestions. Ferran would report back to the Council at a

Charities:
We had a request for assistance with exercise books/felt-tip pens etc. for a
charity (school) in rural Kenya (via Helga McCourt) and it was agreed that
an appeal would be made in Words requesting contributions (exercise
books/felt tip pens) for the weekend of 24/25 April. There would not be a
financial appeal from the altar on the weekend of 24/25 April.

Worship:
Barry mentioned the idea of devoting the Sunday after Easter to the theme of
‘Mercy’. It was decided to further discuss this suggestion during the
preparations of the programme for Easter 2005.
Parish Life:
Paddy mentioned that the publicity/volunteer form for setting up Helping
Hands would feature in the Easter edition of the Parish Life newsletter.

Fayre
Yvonne N. mentioned the need for recruiting volunteers for the Fayre (June
13). Mention was also made of the need to launch the bottle stall appeal.

Maintenance:
Johny reported on the state of play regarding maintenance. The fencing was
now finished. There were still some problems with the gate locks but they
would be sorted as soon as possible. Work would soon begin on the car park
lighting. Once again, problems with the sound system were raised.
Unfortunately one of the main problems is that the new equipment (radio
microphones/lectern microphone) is connected to a sound system
(amplifier/mixer and speakers) that is requiring updating. Efforts will be
made over the coming weeks to review this situation.
