Maintenance:
Sewage: the connection will be made directly into the mains sewerage system as this is the best option for us and will cost between €20,00 – 25,000; there will be a pump with a bypass system. The architect has gone to the Gemeente to ask permission to carry out the work. As yet, we are not linked to any one contractor.
Parking: the additional parking will be on the left-hand side as you drive out.
New cross: the concrete base is in and there is a metal slot in which to put the cross. It measures 7m x3m, will be illuminated and has a lightning conductor.
Parking lights: these go off at 23.00hrs so as not to disturb the neighbours but they can be over-ridden for special occasions.
Prayer garden: Robert will shortly come and finish off his work and then have a meeting with the Knights.
Shed: this has not yet been purchased as the correct size needs to be found. It will be used to store the furniture for the Fayre. It was decided that a couple of smaller tents (6m x3m) should be bought BUT people need to be very disciplined when putting them away i.e. all the pieces should be there! It would be helpful if they were marked in some way (nail varnish?) so that each set was colour co-ordinated and then kept in a similarly marked bag.

Education:
The New Covenant players have just visited the Parish again.
The 11.30 Choir will sing at the Communion Masses.
The Knights will be contacted to see if they will erect the tents on the Communion days. ACTION: Walter.
A tea urn is about to be purchased and can be used for the Communions.
Due to many problems this year, the First Communion robes have had to be purchased at a cost of €30 each.
Several people have asked if a discussion group could again happen in the Parish but during the 10.00 Mass.
Music: there are still problems with the music at the 10.00 Mass. It would be nice to have one person to co-ordinate the children into a choir that sang for most of the year (not just during Catechetics) and two people would be needed for the music.
It was decided that a longer meeting was needed to discuss all aspects of Liturgy within the parish.
The new Mass book/hymnal is almost completed and looks excellent.

Worship and Evangelisation:
The Promise course is starting on Thursday and about 30 people have signed up.
The 11.30 Mass will be held at 12.00 on April 24, May 1 and May 15. This will go in Words and the priests will announce it from the altar.
The second penitential service in Lent was very difficult for a number of reasons but Susanne will try again next year.
There have been problems with sacristans for the past 2 weeks at the 18.00 Mass.
This weekend is the last Children’s Liturgy of the Word until the new academic year.
It was suggested that we hold the outdoor Mass on Trinity Sunday (22 May) with a special devotion to Our Lady.

Christian Service:
No report.

Parish Life:
350 Club: 250 tickets were sold in the 4-week period that brought in €18,750. Once the prizes had been given out ( and some was given back), there will be a profit of about €11,400.
Fayre: organisers are still needed for bric-a-brac, games and the bouncy castle.
The Tombola tickets will be given out to the First Communion children this weekend ( and will be mentioned during Mass) and the rest of the tickets will be available on the weekends of 23/24 April and 7/8 May. As a Parish, we must emphasize that people are supposed to try and sell the tickets and not necessarily buy them all themselves.
