Maintenance:
Sewage: Mark Quagabeur has been in touch with the architects as things have taken much longer than expected. The specifications have been drawn up and sent to 5 companies but there may not be many comebacks as it is regarded as such a small project. There is one definite quote and one has been promised. The quotes are required this month so that the work can start in August. The quoting is reckoned on a per metre basis.
Lock: the lock on the toilet in Church has been fixed.
Fayre:
The Fayre has made about €24,000 profit; Yvonne is still waiting for 2 invoices. Books are still being sold and clothing was sold after Mass for a couple of Sundays. Yvonne would like to thank all those who were involved with the Fayre in any way.
The Council would like to send its appreciation to the Fayre Committee for all the hard work that they put in to make it so successful.
Website:
Ferran gave a very interesting presentation about how our website is evolving. In the past 6 months there have been 31,700 visits with the record being 554 hit in one day!
There was a huge increase in the number of visits around the time of the Fayre and it was suggested that next year the website address should be put on the poster and on the banner (which is being replaced) that hangs outside.
It was also suggested that the website was made more visible in Words and that it was incorporated into its banner. The changes to the Mass times in July & August should be flagged on the site.
Pictures of the Fayre have been put on the site and this seems to be attracting most visits at the moment.
Use of website:
There could be an on line registration form which could be sent back to the office.
There is already a copy of the bank transfer form and it was suggested that people could download it, fill it in, put it in the collection basket & we could take it to the bank for them.
The First Communion and Confirmation photos could also be put on the site with the photographer’s telephone number along side. The photos should not be of a high enough quality to print out at home.
The tombola prizewinners could be put on the site and Ferran said he would do this year’s if he could.
There could be a place for ex-parishioners e.g. where are they now and their current addresses.
The Meet ‘n’ Greet/Registration day will be flagged.
We need to put onto Words that “The Parish website is up and running and has up to date information”.
The Council thanked Ferran for all his hard work in getting the website so far in such a short time.

Liturgy:
There will be a training session for lectors and Eucharistic Ministers within 2 weeks of the Meet ‘n’ Greet as we may get new people from that.
Evangelisation:
There will be a series of 5 talks in October/November. They will be less charismatic and more a broad view of the faith and will be entitled “Living the Faith”. 3 talks will be on practical things e.g. Chris de Fortis will talk about the Olivier Centre. They will probably take place on Wednesday evenings but there will be flexibility.
Education:
No report.

Meet ‘n’ Greet:
This is taking place on Sunday 11 September along with Catechetics registration. We are looking for someone/small team to co-ordinate the M & G and need to know this by the end of July to ensure that everything is covered. The Knights will do a BBQ and it was suggested that the new Youth Group could be involved in the setting up and tidying away.
The Meet ‘n’ Greet starts immediately after the 10.00 Mass has ended so that we don’t miss anyone from the first Mass.
Secretariat:
The Finance Council has had their first meeting with Fr. Vincent and Fr. John to decide how best to organise the filing system. It is probable that Fr. Vincent will stop all his administrative work from next April.
A.O.B.:
The Folk Group are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year and will be having a concert in the Church on 15 October to mark this milestone.
Horst said the closing prayer and the meeting ended at 21.10.
The next meeting will be held on Tuesday 13 September at 19.30 hrs.
